Everything customers ask most, answered in one place: how delivery works, what returns cover, how to tell whether equipment fits your room, and what we deliberately do not sell. If your question is not here, email support@home-gym-shop.com or use the contact form and a person will answer within 1 business day.
Shipping and delivery
How much does shipping cost?
Nothing. Free shipping on every order, US and Canada. No minimum, no flat rate, no code.
How long will my order take?
Orders are processed in 1–3 business days, then transit takes 7–14 business days — 8–17 business days in total. That window is the same for the United States and Canada.
Which countries do you ship to?
The United States and Canada only. All prices are in USD.
Will I get tracking?
Yes, by email as soon as your parcel is dispatched. Tracking can take 24–48 hours to start showing scans, so if the link looks empty at first, check again the next day.
Why can my order arrive in more than one parcel?
Because items ship from the partner that makes them. Multi-item orders often arrive separately, each with its own tracking number, and different arrival dates do not mean anything is missing.
Will I be charged duty or import fees?
The price at checkout is the price you pay — we do not add duty, brokerage or handling charges on delivery. Charges of this kind are uncommon on individual parcels, but if a carrier ever asks you for one, do not pay it before emailing support@home-gym-shop.com. We will deal with the carrier.
Returns and refunds
What is your return policy?
30 days from delivery, full refund on eligible items, no restocking fee. Full detail on the returns page.
Who pays return shipping?
If the item arrived damaged, faulty or not as described, we do. If you have simply changed your mind, you cover the return postage.
How long does a refund take?
We issue it within 3 business days of receiving your return. It goes back to your original payment method and typically appears within 5–10 business days depending on your bank or card issuer.
My order arrived damaged. What now?
Email support@home-gym-shop.com with your order number and a photo within 7 days of delivery. In most cases we send a replacement and you do not need to ship anything back.
Choosing equipment that fits
How do I know something will fit my apartment?
Every product page lists stored dimensions as well as in-use ones, plus rated capacity where it applies. Measure three things before you shop: your clear training rectangle, your ceiling height, and the storage spot you intend to use — under-bed clearance is often only around 6–7 in, and closet shelves run about 12–16 in deep.
Will a doorway pull-up bar fit my door frame?
Measure the inside width of the frame and compare it to the fit range on the product page. Interior door frames in the US and Canada are commonly 24–36 in wide. Leverage-style bars also need a trim lip of roughly half an inch or more to hook over, plus clear wall above the frame. Our door frame fit guide walks through it.
Will my downstairs neighbors hear me?
Impact noise — dropped weights, jumping, running — travels through the floor structure and is what neighbors actually hear. Controlled lifting, band work, mat work and sliders travel almost not at all. Train on a dense mat, set weights down rather than dropping them, and step instead of jumping. See our quiet apartment workout guide.
Why don’t you sell power racks, treadmills or plate sets?
They cannot ship as parcels on our 7–14 business day transit, and they do not fit the rooms our customers live in. We would rather specialise in equipment that genuinely works in a small home than list things we cannot deliver well.
Can you recommend what to buy first?
Yes — email support@home-gym-shop.com with your space and your training, or read the starter kit guide by budget, which lays out three complete builds at three price points.
Payments, accounts and email
How do I pay?
Card payments are processed by Stripe over an encrypted connection. We never see or store your full card number. All prices are in USD; if you pay with a Canadian card, your bank sets the conversion rate and any foreign transaction fee.
Do I need an account to order?
No. You can check out as a guest. An account makes it easier to track orders and start a return, and you can create one at any time.
Does creating an account sign me up for marketing emails?
No. Marketing consent is separate and opt-in. You can join the email list for 15% off your first order, and you can unsubscribe from any marketing email using the link in its footer without affecting your account or your order emails.
What emails will I get about my order?
An order confirmation, a dispatch email with tracking, and a refund confirmation if one applies. Those are transactional and are sent whether or not you are on the marketing list.
Product care and safety
Do you make health or fitness claims about your products?
No. We do not claim that any product treats, prevents or cures anything, and we do not publish calorie or performance figures. Recovery tools in particular are sold as comfort and routine tools, not medical devices. If you have pain, an injury or a medical condition, speak to a qualified clinician before starting or changing an exercise routine.
How should I look after resistance bands?
Treat them as consumables. Keep them out of direct sunlight and away from heat and oil, store them off gritty floors, and check for nicks before every session. Retire any band with a cut, a sticky patch or a cloudy, dry look.
Do I need a mat?
On any hard floor, yes. A dense rubber or foam training mat protects hardwood, laminate and vinyl plank, cuts the small knocks your neighbors hear, and gives you a defined training zone. Do not use a yoga mat under weights — soft foam dents under bench feet and cuts under dumbbell handles.
